This is my story. Looking back at who I was helped me determine who I want to be, and watching religion crumble and fail helped me determine what to leave out of my life as I rebuilt it. I know I’m not alone. Maybe your story is similar to mine or maybe right now you’re at a place similar to where I was. A Very Personal Journey

This book was recommended to me by a friend. I recently identified as an atheist and this story shares some strong resemblance to my own. I too live around the Chattanooga area and the story is dead on accurate and honest in the portrayal of the attitudes and beliefs of the area. I appreciate that I am not the only one that feels this way because in the Bible Belt it can be social suicide to espouse such feelings.
